Mercedes Sprinter
The Mercedes Benz Sprinter, launched in Europe in 1995, was manufactured with the intention of replacing the Mercedes Benz T1 van. Available in three different models, a delivery van, a chassis cab and a minibus, the Sprinter is mainly used for purposes of business rather than for private use and currently, it comes with a four and six cylinder diesel engine, six cylinder petrol engine and LPG versions.
The new-fangled Sprinter has brought forth a new period that includes a combination of style and practicality that comes together to form an ideal blend of structure and function. The expressive and energetic styling, quite typical to Mercedes-Benz, brings out all the functional qualities that are necessary in vans.
Another amazing fact to comprehend is that the new Sprinter is actually available in a bigger range than never seen before, with almost a thousand different versions featuring differing wheelbases, heights, weight ratings, body styles, engine models, transmissions, and the like. The impressive product range practically covers all the necessary applications and it is little wonder that this vehicle is emerging a sure winner in comparison to all weight bearing segments in its class.
The engines of the new Sprinter are undoubtedly a highlighting point in the van category, and with output ratings from 88hp to 184 hp for its diesel engines and a maximum power output of 258 hp for its petrol engines that have a five-speed automatic transmission as well. All the diesel engines of the Sprinter have Euro-4 ratings which keep emission levels down to a minimum.
